This is the road we were on in Snowmass in Colorado that overlooked and led down into the valley below. This image was shot very close to the location of one I previously posed of horses grazing in a field adjacent to this road.
This photo was taken with a Canon EOS 6D, EF24-105mm f/4L IS lens, 1/125 sec at f/22, ISO 400 captured on a Lexar 400x SDXC UHS-1 memory card.

Along with Etsu, thanks for the preview and tease of views for next week. I like how the fences in the foreground force your eye down the road. Your eye for composition has really changed over the years, making your photos even more interesting. Are you cropping in the camera or after, or both. Which ever, your photos are beautiful.
Thank you Jenny. This photo was cropped in camera. Have fun on your trip.
All your beautiful Colorado images are giving us a wonderful preview of what we will be seeing soon! Thanks!!
Have fun…
Roads are so intriguing, and so difficult to photograph. Usually the high-contrast road material pulls the attention away from the background. In this case, you’ve managed to capture a more modest road and more compelling scenery to prevent this conflict. Excellent work!
Thank you Shari. I’ve been enjoying your trip, but got worried when I didn’t see any posts for a few days. Glad to see the new entries.
I want to be there!
It was really beautiful there.
Clouds are wonderful to capture in that blue sky. Gorgeous! I love it!
Thank you Janet.
