This beautiful, small copper still is sold by the Elfin Herb Farm in Los Osos, CA., and can be used to steam distill undiluted, essential oils from high quality plants. It is about 8 inches tall and is a miniature version of a larger copper still used at the Elfin Herb Farm to produce the essential oils they sell.
I photographed this beautiful copper still at the Tiber Canyon Ranch‘s annual Olive Oil Festival in San Luis Obispo, CA.
The photo was taken with a Canon EOS 40D, EF70-200mm f/4L IS lens, 1/1000 sec at f/4, on SanDisk Extreme IV Digital Film. The RAW image was processed on my iPad 2 using Nik Softwares’s Snapseed App.

Is that you taking the picture in the image reflected in the pot? What fun and a lovely picture as well. Have to say, I’m really enjoying being able to see what new pictures have been posted each day.
Thanks Miye…
That is me taking the photo reflected in the pot. I’m glad you’re enjoying the new pictures each day. That makes it more fun for me to be doing this.
Now why did you have to go take a picture of that coolness. Now Shari wants one 🙂
I knew she would like it…. I thought about her as I was writing this post.
I love that you can see the trees and people reflected in the rounded still, it almost looks like a fish eye shot.
The sun shining off of it is perfect. Beautiful shot.
Thanks…
