This is a photo taken at 478 Green St. near Grant outside the Bocce Cafe. We were walking around and I wanted to take random shots of the streets and buildings. This is one of them. I added a texture to the image to give it a different overall appearance. You’ll see more in it if you click on it to enlarge the image.

The photo was taken with a Canon EOS 40D, EF17-40mm f/4L lens, 1/90 sec at f/9.5, ISO 200 on SanDisk Extreme IV CF Memory Card.

The Perfection in Imperfection

Oh, the perfection in the imperfection of this wall in Upper Slot Canyon at Antelope Canyon, AZ.

One of things I love about landscape and nature photography is to enjoy the art that’s created by and within nature. Painting, photographs and sculpture are all beautiful forms of art, but, for me, I love to see the art that is out there where we live and where we travel. And my photography is just my way of sharing what I love to see with you. So thank you allowing me to do that.

Share Your Happiness – Create a parking space for someone else.

One of the really nice things about the inside of this multi-level parking garage in North Beach, San Francisco, is that each parking space has a message or a suggestion. I looked at some of the empty parking spaces and liked this one the best. Imagine how terrific it would be if we all “Shared Our Happiness.”

The photo was taken with a Canon EOS 40D, EF17-40mm f/4L lens, 1/125 sec at f/8, ISO 800 on SanDisk Extreme IV Digital Film. It was processed with Nik Color Efex Pro 4 and Nik Silver Efex Pro 2.

Touring San Francisco

Part of a group touring Sn Francisco by Segway

We were in San Francisco this past weekend to see Rachel (and go to a winning SF Giants baseball game). On Saturday, there was an Art Walk in North Beach and we spent a few hours walking there, drinking coffee and eating Italian goodies. As we walked, a group of about 10 people on Segways silently rode by while on a tour of San Francisco. The tour guide was in the front Segway and appeared to be speaking into a microphone. So there must have been a wireless communication system and the tourists appeared to have earphones.

It looked like a lot of fun. Be sure to click on the picture above to enlarge it for a better view.

Two Horses at September Ranch

(To see the most detail in this image, click on it to enlarge it!)

Two horses graze in the pasture at the September Ranch in Carmel Valley. The Ranch is situated along Carmel Valley Road and we drive by it almost every day. It’s something we look forward to while driving this road. The pasture frequently has horses, cows and young calves grazing and resting there. It reminds us of how nice it is to live in the Valley.
