Moroccan Mint Tea

Traditional pouring of Moroccan Mint Tea

As we entered the Sahara Desert by camel, we stopped in a small village to watch a small group of musicians perform and we were served traditional Moroccan Mint Tea. It’s a delicious mix of strong Gunpowder Green Tea, fresh mint leaves, honey or sugar and boiling water. The tea is poured into glasses from height in order to swirl loose tea leaves at the bottom of the glass, while gently aerating the tea to improve its flavor.

We were served mint tea with honey frequently during our two weeks in Morocco. While there are many commercial preparations of mint tea available in supermarkets, none, that we have tried, come close to the delicious taste and fragrance of the mint tea we were served in Morocco.

The Moroccan Sahara Desert – A Story in Adobe Slate

I believe the people at Adobe Software are among the most creative geniuses I’ve observed. Their software is very powerful and they work in so many areas of graphic arts, photography, video, film, audio, design, publishing and many others. They recently released an iPad App called Adobe Slate. This software allowed me to take a group of my images from Morocco and put them together with integrated text into a beautiful presentation that can be viewed on your computer, tablet or phone by scrolling the story up and down.

I had so much fun creating this, that I plan to do others and post them here for you to enjoy and share with your friends if you like them. It was easy for me to select my first subject to try in Adobe Slate, The Moroccan Sahara Desert because I think I found it the most fascinating and captivating part of a great two week adventure. If you like it, please click on the “Appreciate” button at the end and then come back to this page and leave me a comment. Thanks…    Marty

Rolling Hills Outside of Fes, Morocco

“Territory is but the body of a nation. The people who inhabit its hills and valleys are its soul, its spirit, its life.”
James A. Garfield

As we travelled through Morocco there were many rolling hills like these along the countryside. Often times the lighting was spectacular as it played in the beautiful clouds.

Please share my photos with your friends and family on Facebook and Twitter and help me expand the number of people who will get to enjoy them with us. Thank you…… Marty

“There are no mistakes. The events we bring upon ourselves, no matter how unpleasant, are necessary in order to learn what we need to learn; whatever steps we take, they’re necessary to reach the places we’ve chosen to go.”
