This is a follow up image to the one I posted June 19th. I went back the next day just to capture an interesting shot of the bees in flight. To me, this image says “It’s Spring,” even if today is the first day of summer. I’m curious what it says to you. This photo was taken with a Canon EOS 6D, EF24-105mm f/4L IS lens, 1/500 sec at f/6.3, ISO 200 captured on a Lexar 400x SDXC UHS-1 memory card

Life is sweet! Beautiful translucent wings. I’ve never really seen a bee (and all its little parts) this closely before.
This photo captures their character “in motion” – love the way the angle gives them ownership here – such miraculous creatures to celebrate.
Thank you Shari. I like your description of their “ownership”.
It says, “Keep your distance!”
For someone who doesn’t likes bees very much, I was remarkably calm standing right next to hundreds of them flying around while I was shooting this photos.
