There is a building on the west side the Mission San Xavier del Bac, 10 miles from Tucson. It is a domed chapel with a belfry that was used as a mortuary chapel. It sits alone alongside an open cortile. I processed this photo using some special black and white grain techniques and gave it the sepia toning.

Striking, beautiful image. Looking like an old photo adds to the beauty.
Thanks Miye
I love the duplication of the arches in the fence played against the gauntness of the tree trunk and that softened by the fluffiness of the mesquite foliage. All in that subtle sepia tone – beautiful! – ps
Thank you Pat.
The sepia tone really brings out even more the “oldness” of this building. Beautiful composition, the tree paralleling the cross and growing up towards the heavens . . . very serene as I guess a mortuary should be. Love it!
Thank you, glad you like it. It felt serene there to me as well.
Very nice. Thank you!
