Yesterday, March 24, 2018 was the National MARCH FOR OUR LIVES Day. Despite it raining, we had a great march here in Monterey, California. It was wonderful to attend and be with so many people of all ages to march in support of the students from Parkland, Florida and for students across the country. Below are my photographs from our march. Scroll down to view them.

Thank you for documenting the strength of feeling & purpose in this student-initiated movement. I can only hope they will succeed. It’s heartbreaking that we’re still waiting for lawmakers to do the right thing. Touching images.
Great collection of the collective consciousness.
thank you Marty!
Thank you Tina.
Thanks Marty, These photographs of the signs are wonderful. Love seeing all the people of different ages comming together on such a crucial issue. I am especially proud of these young people. They give us hope for the future.

Thanks Brian. We had fun out there until it started to rain (and even that was fun too).
Great photos Marty and so many great signs. We were luckier with the weather down in SLO. It was a beautiful day, made even more beautiful by all the people at the March and the amazing high school students who spoke, sang and offered poetry.
Thanks Peggy. We had fun, even after it started to pour.
Thanks Marsha. Sorry you didn’t make it there. We did get pretty soaked when it began to rain.
Thanks, Marty. Wonderful photos. Now I really feel guilty about not going.
