The Living RoomI wonder who lives here?
I entered several images into the 2016 Center for Photographic Art International Juried Exhibition. This year’s juror, Linde B. Lehtinen, PhD., is the Assistant Curator of Photography, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Dr. Lehtinen is an art historian specializing in American and European modernism with an emphasis on the history of photography and mass advertising culture. She has worked in both the education and curatorial departments for several museums, including The Art Institute of Chicago, J. Paul Getty Museum, and Skirball Cultural Center. She reviewed over 1,300 images that were submitted and selected 45 to be displayed in the gallery and another 45 to be included in an online gallery and the catalog.
I am proud to announce that my image, “The Livingroom” was selected for the online gallery. To have one of my images selected by this juror from over 1,300 to be part of a 90 image exhibition is a great honor.
The Center for Photographic Art set up an online gallery of the 45 gallery images and the additional 45 online gallery images. You can see all the images by clicking here:

Great honor, keep it up. And as we approach Thanksgiving, we may be thinking about who isn’t in the room!
Thank you so much Shari.
Congratulations, Marty! Wonderful news!
Thank you Robin…
Wonderful that your photo was selected! That photo is such a thought-provoking image. Knowing the story behind the image made it doubly interesting.

Before I read thecomments I thought it looked like Uta’s view! Congratulations Marty!
Great photo. Strong statement of life
Thank you Tina. It is a strong statement of life. This was from Cathleen’s aunt’s apartment window and she said every day a homeless man would come at 2:00 pm with a Starbucks coffee. He’d sit there and drink it then lay down for a 2 hour nap then leave. The couch is gone now because they started building a new apartment on that lot.
Woohoo!!! Congrats Pops!
